Hinkle Photography Co.

Accessibility

Great photographs are for everybody. Here is how I handle accessibility — at your session and on this website — and how to ask me for anything you need. If I can make it work, I will.

At your session

My sessions are natural-light and on-location around Hagerstown and Washington County — parks, venues, courthouse steps, and places that matter to you. Every location is different: some have paved, step-free areas close to parking, and most also have grass, slopes, or uneven ground somewhere on the grounds.

So tell me what you need when you inquire, and I will plan around it: the most step-free route and spots your location offers, a pace that suits you, and breaks whenever you want them. Seated portraits are always an option — nobody has to stand, climb, or hike for a beautiful photograph. A support person is welcome at your session, and if my wife Emily is second-shooting your day, she is glad to help too.

Because access features are set by each location, I will confirm the specifics for your location with you before your booking is final — the same way I confirm any permit or location requirement. Accommodations never change your price.

On this website

I build this site to be usable by everyone: real text rather than pictures of text, keyboard-friendly navigation with a skip-to-content link, visible focus outlines, labeled form fields, alt text on photographs, and layouts that hold up at high zoom and on small screens. I aim for the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, the usual benchmark for an accessible website.

Ask me

Need something I haven't thought of? Write it in your inquiry, or email me at hello@hinklephotoco.com. Requests come straight to me, and I'll answer plainly with a plan for your session.

This page describes what I do and aim for. Conditions at public locations are set by their owners and can change with weather and maintenance, which is why I confirm your specific location plan with you before booking.
